Treatment Calculators
I’m apprehensive about sharing the treatment calculators because they are not always accurate. They’re a simple tool and should never be used in place of your doctor’s advice. Keep in mind that they maybe antiquated due to new and improved drugs, your inability to metabolize or tolerate treatments. They can also be frightening to some that may have an advanced stage of cancer. They are based on statistics and you are an individual.
LiveStrong.org The Lance Armstrong Foundation uses the Thomson Reuters model and has a very detailed questionnaire and is very user-friendly as long as you know the details of your diagnosis. If you register your data saved for your future retrieval. The following cancers are covered: Bladder, Breast, Cervical, Colorectal, Head and Neck, Hodgkin Lymphoma, Kidney, Leukemia – Adult ALL, Leukemia AML, Leukemia – CML, Lung- Small Cell, Melanoma, Multiple Myeloma, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Ovarian, Pancreatic, Prostate, Testicular and Uterine.
www.LifeMath.net Calculator used by Doctors to assist in determining treatment outcome as well as life expectancy. This site works for Breast Cancer, Melanoma and Renal Cell Carcinoma. It’s interesting to change some of the treatment option online to see what the outcome may be. One of my favorite sites.
www.AdjuvantOnLine.com This site requires a registration and works for Breast Cancer, Colon Cancer, and Lung Cancer. Adjuvantonline.com is more difficult to use and doesn’t give as much informantion as Lifemath.net. (Comparing Breast Cancer modual only)
